Another eye trick. For this trick, get close to the screen.
Look in the middle of the blue area at one side of the lightning bolt.
Then look back and forth from one side to the other.

You should see lightning bolts appear quickly and dissapear just as quickly.
This happens because your eye holds the color red longer than the color blue.
When the red hangs around while you look at the blue area, your eye registers a white color.
(just long enough that it looks like a flash)
