What if you were walking up the steps but
you never got any closer to the top, so you kept walking and
walking and walking but you still never got any closer so
you decided to turn around and walk back down but you never
got any closer to the bottom so you kept walking and walking
and walking but you never got any farther so you decide to
turn around and walk to the top of the steps and you keep
walking and walking but you never get any closer to the top
but you keep walking and walking and walking and walking but
you still never get anywhere...what would you do?
swimming |
What if you were swimming down the lane,
and you could see the lane lines moving as you pass them,
and you could see the line on the bottom of the pool as you
swim forward, and when you look ahead you can see the other
end of the pool getting closer and closer, but when you look
back you haven't moved and inch. So you keep swimming and
swimming and swimming, and when you look back you still
haven't moved forward an inch so you keep swimming and
swimming and swimming and the lane lines keep passing you
on both sides, and the line of the bottom of the pool is
passing under you, and the other end of the pool keeps
getting closer and closer and closer but you just can't seem
to get to it and when you turn around you still haven't
moved an inch so you keep swimming and swimming and swimming
and the other end gets closer and closer but remains out of
reach and when you look back to find you still haven't moved
an inch you see a giant fat kid getting ready to jump on you
so you face forward and swim harder and harder and harder
and harder and when you look back the fat kid is getting ready to jump
on you, so you swim and swim and swim and swim and swim and
swim and the other end seems to get closer and closer but
when you turn around you see the fat kid getting ready to
jump on you, so you swim and swim anticipating the fat kid
to hit you any second but when you turn around he is getting
ready to jump on you so you keep swimming and swimming and
swimming and swimming and swimming and swimming...what would
you do?

driving |
What if you were driving down the road
and you see a house pass by on your right and you see the
lines on the road pass beside you car and you see the
telephone poles pass above your head and then you see the
house pass by on your right and you see the road ahead of
you slowly getting longer and you look on your right to see
the same house pass by again and again but as you look ahead
you can see many different kinds of houses on either side of
the road but as you look to your right you see the same
house pass by again and again and the road ahead still seems
to slowly be getting longer and longer so you step on the
gas and drive faster and faster and you see the lines pass
beside the car and the telephone wires pass above your head
and the same house passes by on your right again and again and
again and again and the end of the road is nowhere in sight
so you step on the gas and drive faster and faster and
faster and regardless of all the other houses on the street
you keep passing the same one over and over and over and
over and over and over and the end of the road keeps getting
farther and farther and farther away and you drive faster and faster and
faster but the road gets farther and farther and farther and farther away...what
would you do?

turn over |
What if you were laying in bed, facing
your wall, thinking away about everything that went on
today, and you start to get a little uncomfortable on that
side so you go to turn towards the open room but find your
self turning towards the wall. So you turn yourself over to
face away from the wall to give that side a rest from
holding you on that side and you find yourself facing the
wall again, so you turn away from the wall only to find
yourself turning towards the wall and every time you turn
away from the wall you always turn to find yourself turning
into the wall, and you can't get yourself to face the open
room. Then you hear a noise and your not sure what it is so
you try and turn to see it but you find yourself facing the
wall again and you can hear this snarl-like growl getting
closer and closer but every time you turn to face the open
room to see what is heading right for you, you end up
turning into the wall and you can't face the open room and
you hear this animal noise getting closer and closer and
closer and there is nothing you can do but keep turning away
from the wall only to find yourself turning into the wall so
you turn away from the wall only to find yourself turning
into the wall so you turn away from the wall hoping to find
out what fate has in store for you with this animal or beast
that is getting closer and closer but every time you turn
away from the wall you find yourself turning into the wall
never able to see what is slowly creeping up behind
you...what would you do?

spaghetti |
What if you sat down to eat supper and
for supper you are having spaghetti, so being how you are
you stick your fork right in the middle of the large plate
of spaghetti that you have prepared for yourself and you
swirl the fork wrapping the spaghetti around the end of the
fork and of course you take this big ball of spaghetti and
shove it into your mouth, and of course there is some
hanging out so what do you do but start to slurp it, but as
you slurp this long strand of spaghetti you notice it is not
getting any smaller and the pile of spaghetti on your plate
is also not getting any smaller but you cannot stop slurping
so you figure that the strands will end sometime soon and
you keep slurping and slurping and slurping but the pile of
spaghetti never gets any smaller and the strand of spaghetti
leading toward your mouth just keeps coming and coming and
coming and you keep slurping and slurping and slurping and
there is nothing you can do because you can't help but suck
this spaghetti into your mouth and you start to feel a
little full but you can't stop slurping and you figure that
it has to end any minute now but the pile isn't getting any
smaller and the spaghetti just keeps coming and coming and
coming and then out of the corner of your eye you notice
that a pot you left on the stove has boiled over and the
grease has caught on fire and the fire starts to spread to
the cabinets and you know you must grab the fire
extinguisher but you can't stop slurping the spaghetti and
the strand never ends and the plate is not emptying but your
house is on fire and the fire starts to spread to the
surrounding walls and draperies and you know you must get
out but you can't do anything except keep slurping and
slurping and slurping the spaghetti and the spaghetti strand
never ends and the fire creeps all around you and you can't
stop slurping and you're surrounded by the fire which has
consumed all the walls and all the ceiling and is now
creeping across the floor but you can't stop slurping and
slurping but your life is in danger but you slurp and slurp
and the spaghetti just will not end...what would you do?

falling |
What if you were walking along through a
wooded area on a nice spring day in the middle of April and
you notice a small animal who is caught in a thorn bush. So
obviously you go over, being the kind, helpful, thoughtless
person you are to help this poor little woodland creature
out of the snarls it has it's self in. As you walk toward
the poor creature you hear the sound of rocks cracking
against each other and all of a sudden you fall right
through the ground into a head first dive down a long dark
shaft of a pit, and you fall and fall and fall and you are
dreading what will come at the end of this fall and you say
your prayers and your whole life really does flash before
you eyes, but you don't see anything and you keep falling
and falling and falling and you are able to look up to where
you fell from and you see six or seven giant boulders
hurdling towards you and they get a little closer with every
few minutes that pass and now you are hoping that the fall
kills you instantly so you don't feel each one of the
boulders hit you and crush your body into dust and you keep
falling and falling and falling and falling and there is
nothing you can do but fall and fall and fall yet you try to
stop yourself or at least slow yourself down by reaching out
for the wall but as you get closer to where you think the
wall is you never touch the wall and no matter where you
move to when you look up you can see those boulders
barreling down towards you right above your head and you
keep falling and falling and falling and the giant rocks
hover waiting to pulverize your skull and you keep falling
and falling and falling and falling and as you look up again
you see a luminated face of a small woodland creature who
suddenly gives you a gut wrenching grin bearing sharp teeth
and you hear the most horrible high pitch tiny laugh you've
ever heard in your life and it's eyes just stare right at
you as you keep falling and falling and falling and falling
and falling and falling...what would you do?

drink |
What if you were outside in the hot
summer sun working really hard and you decided to come
inside and poor yourself a nice refreshing drink. So you get
out a small glass and you get out the pitcher of water and
you proceed to poor yourself a drink and you notice that the
glass is not getting full so you decide to just drink what
is there and fill it up as far as you can again to take
another drink but when you put the glass up to your mouth it
is empty with no trace of having a single drop of water in
it. So you set the glass down and proceed to poor some water
into the glass again but the glass is still not filling up
so you decide to just quickly drink what is there yet as you
put the glass up to your mouth once more it is completely
empty. You are scorched and need something to drink so you
relentlessly try again to fill the glass with water but the
glass does not fill up and you keep pouring and pouring and
you get the glass close to your mouth and you quickly take a
drink but there is nothing to drink so you once again try to
fill the unfillable glass with water so you can quench your
thirst but as you place the glass upon your lips there is no
relief and the glass is still not full and you can feel the
summers heat enter your house and fill the room and your
mouth starts to become dry and your lips begin to chap and
you need that water so you once again pour the water from
the pitcher into the glass and you can see the water enter
the glass and you can't see any water leave the glass but
the glass just does not fill up at all so you quickly try to
drink whatever may be in the glass but as you place the
glass upon your dry lips no water comes out and your throat
is dry and your mouth is dry and your body does not release
any sweat and you try again to pour water into the cup with
your tired arms and the cup never gets full and the heat is
unbearable and the water won't fill the cup and your throat
is drying up and your lips are dried up and your tongue is
too dry for you to talk or yell for help and you try to pour
that water into that cup but the water will not fill the cup
and there is never any water in the cup at all when you
place it upon your dried lips and the heat is rising and you
can't take it any more so you pour the water into the cup
but the cup doesn't get full and there is none there when
you put the cup to your dry dry mouth...what would you do?

the room |
What if you were in a room that had four
walls and a nice carpeted floor and a ceiling fan on the
ceiling and a comfortable chair in the center of the room
and on each wall there is a door. As you sit and read a nice
book you hear a loved one call for a little help. So you set
the book down as you get up and ask them where they are.
When they reply you follow the sound of their voice and go
through the door to your left only to find that you are in
the same room you just walked out of, with the chair in the
middle and your book right where you left it. Your loved one
calls a little more urgently this time and you once again
follow the sound of their voice and go through the door at
the back only to find that you are entering the same exact
room you just left only through a different door this time.
You are puzzled and upset and you decide to retrace your
foot steps and go back the way you came so you go back
through the door you came from and end up in the same room
once again and then you go back through the other door you
came from and end up returning to the room from the first
door you went through at the beginning and now you hear your
loved one cry out for some help as if they are in pain and
you try to follow the sound of their voice as you go through
the door on the right this time only to find that you end up
back in the same room you were in before once again through
a different door and you hear your loved one cry out again
for your help and you run through the last door only to end
up where you started and your loved one cries out for your
help and you hear them scream but no matter what door you go
through you always end up in the same room with the same
chair and your book right where you left it so you decide to
move the book and run through the door to your left and you
end up in the same room with your book right where you left
it and you enter another door and end up in the same room
and you retrace your steps and try to figure out how to get
out but all you can do is dread what is happening to your
loved one as they scream out for your help over and over and
you run to try and save them but no matter which door you go
through you always end up back in the same room and you can
hear your loved ones terrible screams as they are tormented
in some way you can only imagine and they scream and yell
and you run and run through one door after another but you
can't get out of the room so you try and calm yourself down
and tell yourself not to panic as you hear your loved ones
voice tremble and shriek as they call out for you to come
and help them and they scream out in agony for you and you
try to keep sane and figure out what happens when you walk
through every door and you trace and retrace as your
loved one pains and you count and recount as your loved one
screams and you go through door after door after door after
door only to end up in the same room as your beloved loved
one screams out in bloody murder and you begin to realize
that there is nothing you can do to help them...what would
you do?
